— Landmark HIV Study Reports Significant Improvement in Appearance
of Facial Wasting
Renowned surgeons, Joseph Eviatar, M.D. and Stacey Silvers, M.D. will
unveil the results of a landmark clinical study of 100 patients that
shows the long-lasting effectiveness of Radiesse injections for the
restorative treatment of HIV-associated facial lipoatrophy. 100% of
patients enrolled in one of the largest studies ever reported
significant improvement in their appearance at 6 and 12 months post
treatment. The presentations will be featured at the ASPS and the
AFPRS meetings.
— Study Confirms Radiesse(TM) Provides Long-term Improvement of
Vocal Fold Insufficiency
Lead investigator and voice specialist, Clark A. Rosen, M.D., will
present his findings of a rigorous clinical study using Radiesse to
treat vocal fold insufficiency at the AAO. Vocal fold insufficiency –
a medical condition in which one or both vocal folds (or cords) lack
the physical capacity to vibrate properly – results in poor voice
quality. More than 100 patients were enrolled in the study with 94% of
them showing improvement in their voice quality six months after
treatment.
— Radiesse(TM) Lauded As Promising New Treatment Option for Nipple
Reconstruction
Noted plastic surgeon Hilton Becker, M.D., will share his clinical
experience using Radiesse as a non-invasive solution for nipple
projection post-mastectomy, providing patients immediate results and
enhanced self-esteem. In the past, more than 50% nipple reconstruction
surgeries failed over time due to loss of volume. One pilot study
concluded that Radiesse is an ideal soft tissue filler for nipple
reconstruction because of its longevity, biocompatibility and tissue
regenerative properties.
— Radiesse (TM) Widely Used As Reliable Soft Tissue Filler for
Facial Contouring
Radiesse is gaining popularity among surgeons worldwide as a
long-lasting, non-surgical, biocompatible filler. Radiesse is approved
for facial augmentation in Europe, Latin America and most recently in
Canada. Proven successful cosmetic enhancement includes treatment of
creases or folds between the brows; depressions or sinking under the
eyes; hollowed or sunken-in cheeks; nasolabial folds and lines from
tip of nose to the outer area of lips; laugh lines; jaw line and chin
contouring and acne scarring.
— Nasal Contouring: The non-surgical “nose job” is a kinder,
gentler alternative for patients who wish to change the shape
of their noses but don’t require full-blown invasive
rhinoplasty.
